Already stronger in my backbends!

I have only been able to do a couple of these, but I am already feeling stronger and more clear in my backbends. There are tons of little tips, such as how to place the arms properly in final dips (teachers tend to just gloss over that), which I'm finding super helpful. Very grateful for this format and also the length is perfect. I couldn't fit in much more, but will work to carve out that extra 20 ish minutes.

I found this backbend sequence very helpful to understand some foundations to build a safe and deep backbend. Beside this it was also useful to have this short videos to keep me on the mat..... just 20 or so minutes, good demonstration and good advices.... no excuses to get off yhe mat!

I really appreciate the backbending course that David Garrigues has put together. I love the step by step instructions, real time practice videos, his encouraging voice and can do attitude. This is a boost to my home practice in ways both physical and emotional right now. Perfect timing. I also like the course being offered along with the community Facebook and Instagram pages, and David’s poetry readings and online live segments we can feed into with questions. Thank you David and team for the sincere offering and great quality teachings.

a complete program for all levels. this will help you interiorize and work on the backbends really focused at your own rhythm, but it really inspires to get the work done. I'm really happy with all the details in the instructions.

Having studied with David a few times in person, I am very grateful for his continued dedication to bringing detailed instruction of the Ashtanga Yoga system to everyone who wants to get on the mat and grow! I highly suggest this course for anyone - beginner, novice or beyond, who desires to enhance their practice through daily exercises which lengthen the spine, open the heart and result in better backhanding abilities!

Thank you for making this course David. As a self practitioner, I have been dodging backbends for a long time. I have now been figuring them out for the last year or so, but needed that extra something to go to the next level. This course just comes at the right time. It's one of those: "when the student is ready the DG video course appears" moments...

I found this series of backbending techniques informative and practical. The tutorials contain important detail in each of the practices that helps decipher the mystique and fear associated with backbending. David has done a fantastic job of extrapolating key components of the knowledge and communicated them effectively to allow the student to improve form and understanding.

There is a lot of conflicting information out there on how best to approach bending backward. In this course, David starts with the most basic actions and movements so that students can build the back bending sequence of their Ashtanga practice safely, and make progress steadily. His instructions are clear, and easy to follow, and he encourages students throughout the course to work at their own level with the exercises. I recommend this to students, but also for teachers, as there is some excellent material in here to share with your students.

Reclined bow posture and hand stand are very hard for me to learn due to the required opening of the front body and necessary upper body strength built. And, dropping back involves a lot for fears to me due to the loss of control when diving back. Hence, I had somehow avoided to approach this practice since I started by yoga journey eight years ago.
Therefore, I am very grateful to find this detailed breakdown of this practice into small, manageable steps. The instructions are all very clear and highly valuable. The demonstrations and the suggested usage of props are very useful. Actually, this material has encouraged me to overcome the fear and to immediately start to practice. Hence, I highly recommend to everybody who faces the same challenge.
